We got conned! So many times! By Derek, by the road marshalls, by our intelligence!

Now I know Foch and Petain were French involved in World War. (I didn't add 'II' so by common sense it's the first one.) And they both have got roads in Jalan Besar named after them. There was TWO stations in Jalan Besar Stadium. So apparently we have wronged the map designing people. And due to our 'intelligence', basically we just think too much, we spent ~1 hour combing almost the whole Jalan Besar just for a station that is JUST on the OTHER SIDE of the stadium!

There are 19 buffaloes (not cows actually) on the exterior wall of the Indian temple on Kampong Bugis Road. Finding the No.12 lamppost along Kallang River will lead you to the chinese temple located (strangely) at the start of the river beside Block 12. According to CK, the facade of the Sikh temple at Boon Keng looks like an eagle. Although I only made out the eyes and the chin/beak.

The aunties in Whampoa market are very excited about the 'peacocks' in Balestier Point. If there is any. And people in Whampoa don't know where is their mosque. There is a permanent wayang stage (only one in Singapore) in the Dua Pek Gong Bio along Balestier Road. But the red bricks look damn fake. Wonder what the designer was thinking...

Other stuffs

Nobody ever imagined that Bryan has a camera, so nobody asked him to bring. And we went through the whole event without taking a single photo. There are times when Newater is drinkable even without chilling. People make chicken rice balls by wrapping the rice around a BIG piece of garlic. There are new murals and painting on the walls of HWA (Handicap Welfare Association) at Whampoa. The one CSC did with SMU in 2004 paled in comparison.

Boo~ Zoi only collected 17 stamps from a possible 22. And we returned late and we did not complete the hunt... We will be back next year! And we must deploy someone to station at the computer/street directory to provide the CORRECT answers! No more Derek next time!
