... the Hong Kong delicacies.

It is not possible to find awful food in Hong Kong. Food is only classified into cheap-expensive and local–imported.

Day 1
(Airport)
    Welcome gift from Chuyuet. Crispy!
  • Pork chop noodles (Tsing Yi Maritime Square)
Large portions and the soup tasted like wanton.
  • Fruits (Central Graham Street)
We need to keep our mouths busy while walking down the steep road.
  • Claypot rice x3 (Causeway Bay Tung Long 新翠华)
‘x3’ as in 7 persons shared 3 pots of rice – spicy seafood, yam & chicken. Anyway, the best part was the rice, brown and fragrant but not charred.Astee giving out our share of rice
  • Dessert (Causeway Bay Moon House)
This place seems to be one notch above 许留山, better ambience and service and of course, higher price. But the mango pancake and durian pancake are… ahhrrrr… I don’t know how to describe! The fruit, the cream and the thin soft skin melt in the mouth like foam!!!the melting pillows
Day 2
  • Yoshinoya (Kowloon Tong Festival Walk)
Eating on the steps while watching people ice-skate in the mall.
  • Junk (Mongkok roadside)
    Curry fishball, wafer bites...
  • Pasta & Pizza (Mongkok Langham Place Suzuki Café)
Didn’t intended to dine high-class, but we never seem to be able to exit the legendary Langham Place.
  • Dessert (Mongkok
The tables have drawers that hold rows of spoons and forks. So convenient!
Day 3
  • Dim-sum (Kwai Fong Metroplaza Maxim)
  • Krispy Kreme (Mongkok)
Original glazed and Cappucino. Fabulicious!@ Star Avenue
  • Katsu (Tsim Sha Tsui Star House)
    It was cheap, that all.katsu
Day 4
  • 菠萝包 (on the coach)
    Courtesy of Chuyuet again.
(Yuen Long)
Damn full from this 11-course meal! And 寿包 for Dr. Nirmal.
  • Apples (Tai Kok Tsui)
    China Fuji apples!
  • Lamb and mint (Central SoHo)
    Perfect in the absurd weather!
Day 5
  • Dim-sum (Kwai Fong Metroplaza Maxim)
Refer to Day 3. Plus 猪肠粉,虾饺,蛋塔,custard (without the crust)… Kok Ming got to stop us from ordering more food when he realized that our table was never empty.dim sum
  • Curry rice with beef & 奶茶(Causeway Bay roadside)
Tender beef but only passable curry.
(Causeway Bay roadside)
OMG! This is even BETTER than the Rochor tau hway! Literally DISSOLVED to nothing in the mouth! Then the peanut taste remains...
(Mongkok roadside)
Not pungent enough. I think it’s the weather; our noses are less sensitive at low temperatures.
Day 6
  • Wanton Noodle (Central Wellington Mak's Noodle
Cosy HK café, that served small portions. But the soup is super super addictive!
  • Hot Chocolate (Peak McDonalds)
Errr... I can’t resist getting that hot drink although it’s the golden arch.
  • Char Siew Rice (Airport Café de Coral
Just to satisfy my craving for the authentic char siew.
