Studio 6

Last year, October, when I restarted mindchanger, there was a post titled Uncertainty.

Studio 6 (Sep 2004)

We had 18 people in the memorable S6 in the first semester. We went to the Zoo twice to take measurements and pictures. And shopped at BBC for the zoo model together.

Then we spent 3 unforgettable days struggling in Bangkok. Squeezing in the tiny tutuk, pleading some hotel management to let us in to do our sketches and copying photos into our sketchbooks in the middle of the night.

Back to studio, we sort of got detached and formed our individual cliches as we got down to do research and project. But we still stayed together for the first major crit and the Kukup trip in December, which I regretted so much to miss it.

Sem2, some of us still sticked together and took the same GEM, sitting as a group during the weekly lectures and lazing in Science canteen, refusing to return to work in studio. It was a refreshing 3 months, discussing about DNA, genes, allelles... However, things changed...

Didn't talk to some of them for a long time. Seldom see them in studio, as projects got more personal. And then hear-say spread.

Jess is leaving.

Sally's quitting.

Momo's gone.
I remembered when I first entered, our intake was almost 140. Then during exams, it dropped to 130+. One semester later, it was 120+. Today after the Round 1A bidding, only 106 placed a bid for the Design module.

Where are the rest now?
