What a match yet again that kept me hanging for not 90 minutes but >120 minutes! It has become a tradition even at my home. 80 minutes: my brother was preparing to sleep when Liverpool was down 2-3. And superstitiously, I refused to let him out when Gerrard got the equalizer in extra-time, so that the match can go into 30 minutes of extra-time.
Luck was in Gerrard and Reina. Lots of it. At the end though.
Right at the start, accidents occurred and Carragher was the culprit. Out-of-control of his speed in front of the goal that caused the own-goal. A short while later, a scramble near the Liverpool goal doubled West Ham’s lead as Reina left a gap for the ball to slip through. Mad boys Gerrard and Carragher crashed into each other.
Feeling super down. And my bro’s saying “不可以放弃! Istanbul 的时候都3-0 down了, 也能 fight back. 这次才 2-0 , 还没有结束!” Ya… straight after this Cisse got a nice sweeping volley. In 风云, this is called the 扫堂腿. Super spectacular!
Still 2-1 down in 2nd half. Shark shark shark… no more goal and my pa’s 酸-ing us liao… ZzzzZZzzZZ. In my blurness, I sort of heard an equalizer from Gerrard. Almost like versus Chelsea in the semi when he just come out from nowhere and blast it in. 2-2. Time to wake up. 怎么办? 怎么办?
Not too long later, came another ‘what happened just now?’ situation as an apparent cross for West Ham ‘dropped’ into the goal. What an accident! (Sarcasm…) Damn! 3-2.Oh no! 30 minutes left! We need to fight back!!! Liverpool was attacking. But Morientes is a useless striker, I never like him. Cisse was exhaust of ‘patterns’ already. Alonso, Kewell were sub-off previously. Very bad, it seems. Hamann, Hyypia, Carragher were trying very hard but they are not Fowler after all.
90 minutes’ up. Everybody’s wasting time. And Cisse looked determined to lie on the pitch for treatment while earning for more extra-time. As time drained, my bro’s in bed, I screamed! “啊! 进球了! 进球了! 你不要出来, 去睡觉!” Almost the same as the previous one, Gerrard came out from nowhere and blast in a thunderbolt! Phew! The feeling was up and down… Now we wished the final whistle is blown faster. Ahrrg… Cannot sleep early again. 30 minutes more to go.2001 Cardiff FA Cup final
1-0 down near full-time and then-hero Owen strike twice in extra-time to win Arsenal.

And everybody’s taking turn to stretch their cramping muscles as the match went on. 1 minute to go, Reina narrowly tip a West Ham shot onto the post that Harewood failed to control the rebound. Penalty shoot-out!
Pray hard that that the news about Reina’s history is true. Pray hard that the Jerzy Dudek magic is still hovering. Phew! Riise score! Redemption! Gerrard, Hamann scored! Hyypia can be forgiven. 
Liverpool won the FA Cup! Wahahaha…
