Updates after I’ve left job last month.
Wed 1/8: Went shopping with 麻嘛. Discovering the new face of IMM! Like a mini VivoCity. Now it just lacks a KBox!
Fri 3/8: Watched “Alone” with Zin-a-zin. Think Thai horrors are still the best, loved the story! And discovered another break-through in horror film-making: continuous scares. Especially the part when Ploy was haunted from bedroom to living room to garade to the fake fiancée. Ahrg... cannot take it anymore, 'cause I was watching everything with my eyes open! Shopped at Far East like two overage aliens. Talked about ALL the horrors we’ve watched on the long bus trip home.
Sat 4/8: Zin-a-zin couldn’t sleep last night. (Wahahaha…) Signature Love Project 2007 OC handed over the donations collected earlier this year to Singapore Cheshire Home. Then we went to sing K for just $4.70!
Mon 6/8: Return to SDE for briefing and (supposedly) "Ecotect" demonstration. Yawning all the way… Left during the lunch break and went shopping at Jurong Point. The bus interchange still smells of chocolate!
Tues 7/8: Cleaned up half of my room and formatted computer. Didn’t make much of a difference since it was super empty at the first place. Just wanted to make sure it’s thoroughly brain-washed before the semester. And formatting computer makes me very happy!
Wed 8/8: Shopping at IKEA. Reminiscing the time when the ABC market was still under renovation.
Thur 9/8: National Day. Breakfast at Bukit Batok till noon. Then drilled holes in my wall and started painting it with GREEN! Tucked in to a BBQ steamboat dinner at my gor-gor’s place and watched NDP. Quite boring actually. Zzz…
Fri 10/8: Continued with painting. Treated 麻嘛 to Royston Tan's “881” in the afternoon. Suddenly I thought 陈金浪 is a very extraordinary person. He went through so much in life, left behind so many touching compositions; and truly touched many hearts with his will to live. The film itself is also remarkable. It’s a departure from the usual Jack Neo stuffs. I’m not comparing here, but it’s still refreshing to watching something so close to heart (七月歌台) combining with illogical CG fighting scenes. The songs are super simple but they just force out all the tears in you. It’s double the effect if you can understand Hokkien because the subtitles are really bad.
Completed painting of my room at 8pm.
Sat 11/8: Went cycling with Yanru & Jiahui at ECP. 1st time I didn’t wang! Woohoo! K at Marine Parade. Sang 星光帮's 因为我相信! Woohoo! Got stuffs for Zenov then rushed to Kent Ridge for his room-warming. Zin-a-zin’s hair is boyishly short! Have sauna in Zenov’s room. Then went to The Village Centre to eat and take idiotic photos, of Zin and Zenov. Wahahaha...
